Articulating Trucks

Find Your Equipment

We keep a working fleet of Volvo articulated trucks on the yard in Abbotsford, ready to move onto your site when you need them. Below you will find our current units with their year and location.

Articulated

What Is an Articulated Dump Truck Used For?

An articulated truck is built for moving material where a regular dump truck cannot go. The hinge point between the cab and the box lets the truck flex through soft ground, ruts, and uneven grades without twisting the frame, and the six-wheel drive keeps traction when a rigid-frame truck would spin out. We rent these units out for haul roads on active job sites, land clearing, pit and quarry work, and any project where the ground stays wet or soft for weeks at a time. If your site has been chewed up by weather or heavy traffic, this is the truck that keeps hauling anyway.

We pair these trucks with our swamp pad rentals on sites that need a stable surface under equipment, so if your ground conditions call for both, we can quote them together.

all-terrain

Payload Capacity and All-Terrain Hauling

Our A30 series trucks sit in the 30 tonne payload class, carrying a full box of material in a single load so your crew spends less time waiting between trips. The all-terrain capability and low ground pressure that come with the articulated design mean these trucks stay productive on the same soft, sloped, or rutted ground that would bog down a highway dump truck. That combination, high payload plus the ability to keep moving on rough terrain, is the whole reason contractors reach for an articulated truck instead of a standard one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our A30F and A30G units both haul in the 30 tonne payload class. The exact volume depends on the material you are moving and the box, so tell us what you are hauling and we will point you to the right unit.

These are off-road machines, so they are not driven on public roads and do not require a road-going driver’s license. Your operator should have experience running heavy equipment on active sites. If your project has its own certification requirements, we are happy to talk through what our units need on the operator side.

The A30G is the newer model, with an updated engine, current emissions compliance, and a slightly bigger box. The A30F still hauls a full load and is a solid choice when emissions certification is not a factor. We will tell you exactly which one you are getting when you book.

Yes. That is the main reason to choose an articulated truck over a standard dump truck. The articulation point and six-wheel drive keep it moving through mud, ruts, and uneven grades that would stop a rigid-frame truck.

We rent by the day, week, or month depending on your project timeline. Tell us how long you expect to need it and we will set up terms that fit the job.

Yes, we deliver across the Fraser Valley and beyond, often in as little as two hours from your call.

Every unit is inspected and maintained by our team before it leaves the yard, so you are getting equipment that has already been checked over, not just whatever is available.
